I was a winner this week in our annual Landmark awards. My second place win was judged by Jeff Neumann, lead designer and illustrator at the Denver Post. Here is some of what is said.
Margaret would give Sam (Hundley) a run for first place with a tighter stylistic focus. She produces work that has an attractive innocence, uses good rich color combinations, can stylize objects and critters without losing their representation understanding, and is creating work that seems to have a lot of personality. This image was one of his favorites from the portfolio of entries.
